October 11th is International Day of the Girl. In honor of today, here is advice by six teenagers on HOW TO love yourself, including how to love your own body. Their tips are based on the HOW TOs that have worked for each of them individually. Watch the (2 min) video here.

Not all of them wanted to make a video. (Having your picture taken can be awkward. You know what I mean?!) They chose to set aside their preferences, because they hope that this advice will be helpful to you.

Which HOW TO can you explore?
(1) Spend time in/with nature.
(2) Immerse yourself in music.
(3) Take down mirrors.
(4) Don’t compare yourself to others.
(5) Treat others with kindness. (Because it is uplifting.)
(6) Surround yourself with supportive friends.

Maybe one of these sparks your own HOW TO. We hope so. It’s great to talk about the importance of self-love and self-acceptance. It’s great to understand the concept. However, the real issue is HOW can we take LOVE into ACTION. It’s the most worthy cause on the planet.
